Game Junkie :: The Story of the J

The Story of the J

On Valentine's Day 2003, Game Junkie humbly opened its door to the unknowing denizens of West Chester and Liberty Township.  Founded by Matt Matson, Game Junkie is an independently owned and operated video game specialty retailer.  Our mission statement is simple: We're elite, but not elitist.  It's important for everyone who comes into Game Junkie to know they'll be treated equally, regardless of video game knowledge or age.

Why shop at Game Junkie?  Our customers tell us there are three main reasons: Customer Service, Try Before You Buy and Special Events.

    #1: Customer Service

Ever been to a video game store or giant retailer and have the clerk remember your name from the last visit?  Thought not.  Game Junkie employees are more than just friendly and knowledgeable: they're personable.  It's so much nicer to shop at a store where the employees will tell you if a game sucks.  We will.  Tell you, that is.  Not suck.

        #2: Try Before You Buy

Sick of taking a game home to find it's not worth the disc it's printed on, yet unwilling to shell out $9 to rent said game for two days?  So are we.  If Game Junkie has the game in stock, you can try it out.  No more spending $50 to discover you just wasted $50.

        #3: Special Events

We mean tournaments, Friday night gaming parties, WiFi Wednesday and the one and only Video Game Decathlon.  Where else can you play with fellow DS and PSP owners on Wednesday night, participate in a game league on Thursday, attend a gaming party Friday night and win $1000 in cash at a Saturday tournament?  Exactly.
