| *Full Double Elimination: WINNERS and LOSERS brackets. The winners of the LOSERS bracket goes on to challenge the winners of the WINNERS bracket. In order for the winners of the LOSERS bracket to win the tournament(s), they have to defeat the winners of the WINNERS bracket for the duration of 2 FULL MATCHES. |
||||
| What that means: for the winners of the LOSERS bracket to win the tournament, they will have to defeat the winners of the WINNERS bracket 2 out of 3 and then 2 out of 3 again. Whereas the winners of the WINNERS bracket will only have to defeat the challengers from the LOSERS bracket 2 out of 3. PLEASE READ BELOW regarding the double elimination setup for the FFA Tournament. You must still lose twice to be eliminated, but it is slightly different due to wanting to have maximum players per game. Please e-mail Scooter with any questions about it. SIGN UP ONLINE!

| 1) Rounds will be
8-Player FFA, MLG Ruleset for 20 Minute matches, first to 50 frags. the
top 4 participants will move on in the Winner's Bracket, while the
bottom 4 finishers will proceed to the Loser's Bracket. This will be
parsed down until there are 4 players left, in which case 2 players
will move on to the Final Matches. This number is subject to change to
as many as 4 depending on the event turnout. 2) The Loser's Bracket will be parsed down in a similar manner: 8-player matches with 4 moving on, and 4 players eliminated. In the end, the final six players from the loser's bracket will make it to the Final Match, but will have to win 2 of the Final Matches in a row to win the tournament (this is explained below). Note that the number of people coming from the loser's bracket may be lowered depending on the number of people who come from the winner's bracket (see above) (In some cases, a full 8-player match may not be available due to an uneven bracket. In these cases, as many people as can play will, and half or slightly more will move on. In a 6-player match for example, 3 will move on, but in a 7-player match, 4 will move on) FINAL MATCHES The final 8-player match will be the total frags from 3 standard FFA matches on 3 different boards ... each of the 2 players from the Winner's bracket picks a board, and the third is chosen randomly. IF A WINNER'S BRACKET PLAYER WINS, then the tournament is over. The second player from the Winner's bracket is the second place finisher and then the remaining six players are slotted based on the number of frags they get. IF A LOSER'S BRACKET PLAYER WINS, then that player as well as any Loser's Bracket player that finishes higher then either of the two Winner's Bracket players remains eligible, and then a new set of three games is played with all randomly selected boards, most frags wins straight up. Essentially, this tags the two Winner's Bracket players with a loss, putting everyone back on level par. (Example: If the Winner's Bracket players finish 4th and 6th, then the Loser's Bracket players who finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th stay alive, while the 7th and 8th place finishers are eliminated) This could set up a final match with as few as 3 or as many as 8 players. | BRACKET
