RULES

  • Tournament games will be one 6-on-6 Singles Match. The tournament will be double elimination, and randomly seeded based on participation. A player must lose two 6-on-6 games to be eliminated. (See the "Full Double Elimination" above for a good explanation of the way it works)

  • SPECIES CLAUSE - Only one of any species of Pokemon on a team (Diglett and Dugtrio are considered part of the same species).

  • SLEEP CLAUSE - You may not put more then (1) of your opponent's pokemon to sleep at any given time. This one Pokemon limit does not apply to any Pokemon which are under self-induced sleep (Rest, etc.) or fall asleep through the use of Effect Spore or Synchronize or through forced sleep move through Encore.

  • EXPLOSION CLAUSE / SELF-KO CLAUSE - If both you and your opponent are down to your last Pokemon, you may not use the move Explosion, Self Destruct, or Memento to end the match. Destiny Bond and Perish Song will also lead to forefits.

  • UBER CLAUSE - All pokemon who are "Uber" or "overpowered" are banned from use. This includes: Mew, Mewtwo, Celebi, Ho-oh, Lugia, Kyogre, Groudon, Latios, Latias, Rayquaza, Jirachi, and Deoxys. Wobbuffet and Wynaut are also banned.

  • All items are allowed in competition play, and any one item can be placed on as many pokemon as desired, even on all six Pokemon on the team.

  • Matches will be played via Pokemon XD for GameCube, each entrant needs to be a Game Boy Advance or SP to link to Pokemon XD. Game Boy Micro's are not allowed as link cables are not available to the GameCube. Link Cables for the GBA and GBA SP will be provided.
